What we collect

When you submit a request, we collect the trip details you enter: destination, dates, party size (including children's ages, if you provide them), budget, accommodation preferences, and any notes. Once you sign in, we associate that request with your email address. Partner accounts additionally provide a password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) and, optionally, a two-factor authentication secret.

Your contact details stay hidden until you accept an offer

This is the core of how QuoteMe works: partners quoting on your request see your trip details only — destination, dates, party, budget, notes. They do not see your name, email, or any other contact information until you actively accept one of their offers. At that point, the accepted partner receives what they need to confirm your booking with you directly.

How we use your data

• To match your request with partners covering your destination and dates.
• To send you account emails: sign-in links, offer notifications, booking confirmations.
• To keep a basic, anonymized record of how visitors move through the request flow (a cookie-based session id, not tied to your name or email) so we can see where the product is confusing or slow.
• To remember your language preference.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party advertising trackers on this site. We don't share your contact details with a partner unless you've accepted their offer. We never see or store your payment details — bookings are paid directly to the partner, on their terms.

How long we keep it

A request that receives no bookable offer automatically expires (you choose how long it stays open when you submit it). Expired and completed requests are kept as part of your account history rather than deleted outright. If you'd like your data removed, contact us and we'll action it.

Partners and third parties

Approved partners may import their property and room listings from their own third-party inventory systems (e.g. a channel manager) — this is data about their properties, not about you. Outbound account email is sent through a transactional email provider on our behalf; they process message content only to deliver it.
